My vision of leadership for Hapeville is based on 3 pillars:
Protect | Progress | Promote
Protect | Progress | Promote
Protect
- Keep Hapeville safe via cutting edge tech to reduce, detect, and report crime.
- Support Hapeville law enforcement, firefighters, and 1st responders with competitive pay, benefits, and resources.
- Advocate for the integrity and expansion of Hapeville Elementary School (HES) to continue being able to enroll all Hapeville children.
- Support the preservation and adaptive reuse of historic structures and green spaces.
- Support efforts to expand Senior services, outreach to our Spanish speaking residents, and address food insecurity and homelessness in Hapeville.
- Favor conditions that help attract and promote small, local business.
- Continue to attract corporate, retail, and hospitality investment.
- Invest in local infrastructure (parks, sidewalks, sewer, lighting, recreation...)
- Favor changes to streamline and clarify the local permit process for renovations and new, single family home construction.
- Apply sound "Smart Growth" ideas to vacant, empty lots within our city.
- Study and adopt measures to support Affordable Housing initiatives.
- Continue alignment with airport connected organizations, entities and municipalities to raise awareness of dining and retail in Hapeville & the Tri-Cities.
- Identify "placemaking" opportunities and funding to create distinctive Hapeville boundaries and throughways (i.e. Permanent Hapeville signage over I-85 / I-75).
- Ensure Hapeville has a place at the federal, state, county, Atlanta, and ATL airport table as much as possible.
- Continue to promote the arts and creative events in Hapeville.
